Smoke and sandalwood nose. Intense palate with toasted cereal, pine, raw sugar and a spicy, long finish. I’m admittedly not a Scotch aficionado, but this is tasty.
Loads of tropical fruit on the nose, mango, pineapple, dried nectarines, stewed peaches. Same on the palate with malted cereal notes, vanilla and brine. A long finish of brine and cream.
Almost like dessert wine. Definitely sweet from the cask but you also get the saltiness characteristic of Bruichladdich. I wish this were available with an age statement to compare more fairly with other Scotches. Like this, 90
