Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Coarse Grain Oak
Bourbon
Buffalo Trace // Kentucky, USA
Released in 2009, this is one of two bottles from the sixth batch of the Experimental Collection by Buffalo Trace. This edition is part of a pair of releases that play with the coarseness of the wood grain used in the barrels.
Slow growing trees create a fine grain wood; fast growing create coarse grain wood. This bourbon was made from BT Rye Mash #2, distilled in July 1994 and barreled into a coarse grain oak cask at a #4 char.
