Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Seasoned Staves 48 Months
Bourbon
Buffalo Trace // Kentucky, USA
This bottling is one of a pair of bourbons released in the Experimental Collection from Buffalo Trace. Using the same mash bill (Buffalo Trace mash recipe #1), the bourbon was distilled on the 26th of October 2009 and entered the barrel the next day. The barrels used in maturation were made from staves which, in this case, were seasoned for 48 months.
Typically, the staves are seasoned for just six months. Aged for 9 years, this is sold as a pair with the 36 month version to compare and contrast. Available beginning late February 2019 in 375ml bottles.
