Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength

Great bourbon and the palate is much more mellow than the proof.

Palate is oak, vanilla, leather. Some fruit, chocolate, and black pepper too.

I taste some of the richness and get just a hint of fruit, but the heat overwhelms the other flavors

Batch Number 03 - First, I am a Bulleit fan so my review could be a "tad" skewed here. This is Bulleit on 'roids concerning everything (color, flavor, notes, and horsepower (proof)). However, it really makes a statement as it does not finish with a burn for its high proof (120+) . I really enjoyed this both neat and with an ice chip. I have batches 02 and 05 yet to try...
