Bulleit Bourbon

So far so good

I have tried several bulleit offerings, but this is my first bottle of their standard bourbon. I've mainly been using this as a mixer, where it performs admirably, but on it's own it just doesn't work for me. Up front it has some decent sweet caramel and vanilla notes, but the finish is medicinal and bitter. I got this bottle almost for free, otherwise I can't see myself buying it again. It's a good enough mixer, but a little too high for sweetened cocktails.
