Bundaberg // Queensland, Australia
Bundaberg is a rum brand and distillery which was established in 1888 and named after the city where it is located in Queensland, Australia. This overproof rum is a little on the low side, proof-wise, clocking in at only 115 proof. Bundy, as it is affectionately called by its many fans, is available around the world, with the United States being a notable exception.
Gold RumRum that is often aged, but can also just have caramel-coloring added to provide color. No specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for aging for most countries with a few exceptions.
"This rum shows a lot of fruity notes, pears in particular, as well as some barrel spices and woody aromas. These notes continue on the palate with little change from the aroma to the taste. The finish is only slightly bitter. As the proof is just a little over standard proof, feel free to sub this in cocktails calling for gold rum or even in a simple rum and ginger."
