Burnside 1999 23 Year Blended Malt (Deer, Bear, & Moose)

An almost licorice quality to the nose, along with black tea. The taste is complex and hard to place-some tobaco, some richer chocolate-but mostly carries strong spicy flavors into a smooth finish.

The nose leads with tea and floral notes, with a hint of vanilla underneath. The palette is a nice mix of subtle chocolate, woody, and oily notes. As the flavor washes back through the mouth, an intense spiciness kicks in. The spiciness dissipates slightly but does linger in a smooth finish that features honey and cinnamon.
