Bushmills // Ireland
Produced about 60 miles north of Belfast in the town of the same name, Bushmills is a blended whiskey comprised of triple distilled malted barley and grain whiskey aged in ex-Bourbon barrels. The oldest licensed distillery in the world (1784), it is one of four in all of Ireland. Those numbers will soon double as new distilleries have their spirits aged long enough to sell to the market as whiskey.
BlendedComprised of both single malt(s) and single grain(s) often from many different distilleries; if Scotch or Irish must be aged for at least three years in oak barrels; Irish may include single pot still whiskey in the blend.

"For a young blended Irish Whiskey, there's quite a bit going on. Aromas of pear, honey, and yeasty fresh bread come out first to say hello followed by nods from wood spices, grass, and toasted sugar. The finish is short and sweet."
