Bushmills Original

Always think of light flavor with a decent amount of honey and oily texture when I think of traditional Irish whiskey. I am getting the pear. Not sure if I prefer this or Jameson but Irish whiskey is not my go to.

Nose: leather, honey, vanilla Palate: malty, honey, a hint of lemon. Finish is practically non-existent. Water: Sweetens the nose and adds a citrus note. Makes the palate pop a bit with cinnamon. Overall: The “smooth and mellow” claim on the label is accurate. Not too bold, but an easy sipper.

One of my personal go to’s. I always get butter when I take it in first, and then some residual notes of pear and even cucumber. Solid Irish Whiskey.
