Caffè Borghetti Espresso Liqueur
Caffè Borghetti // Italy
Caffè Borghetti Espresso Liqueur is based on an 1860s recipe created by cafè owner, Ugo Borghetti. It's made with real Italian espresso made from Arabica and Robusta coffee beans, in addition to sugar and alcohol. Bottled at 25% ABV.
Coffee LiqueursCoffee liqueurs are often dark in color and tend to use real coffee in its creation. However, artificial flavors can be used. Often neutral spirits are used as the base but any liquor family can be used.
"On the nose, there's no mistaking this espresso liqueur for anything else. Its aroma is that of a slightly bitter, brewed coffee bean, with just a hint of sugary sweetness. Its flavor tips the opposite direction with an even more pronounced sweetness followed by the flavor of slightly burnt coffee beans. The liqueur is also a touch sticky, leaving a slight sugary tack on the lips."
