Calumet Farm 15 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon

Really strong. Nose of vanilla and a taste of cherry, fruit, and very sweet!

Cask strength is strong.

Heavy on oak, too heavy. Slight cherry finish and a hotness that fades in and out.

Bought for my defense (at Costco in Mishawaka) and opened with Temple and @crabbyaugy in the new Baltimore house. A little disappointing. Very light and airy, good peppery spice. But a bit lacking in boldness

Vanilla and spice. Sharper than I'd expect for 15 years, but not in a bad way. Generally very good sipping whiskey, although not a low price.

Light cherry to start then the vanilla, caramel, and oak kick in. Finishes with spice and leather. The finish is longer than expected with the cherry coming back at the end.
