Calumet Farm 15 Year Single Rack Black Bourbon

Pleased with this. Not too oaky. Nice spice. Good proof point.

The first taste exhibits oak..it's not objectionable, a little sweet. rather viscous.a little expensive at 130.00, but it is 15 years old and over 100 proof.

Cherry, baking spices, anise, young green wood. Not very smooth- would have guessed even higher proof.

Apple, tobacco, leather, pepper, anise. Just a little sweet.

I want to like this more than I did. I got a sample from a friend, so my review comes without having invested any of my own money in the bottle. Smooth, a little oaky, not overly sweet, not rich. Definitely try if you can, but I would have been disappointed with paying north of $100 for this bottle. If it’s any helpful reference, Calumet, 8 year was underwhelming and overpriced in my opinion.
