Reviewed December 26, 2025 (edited January 27, 2026)Last dram from a post Christmas European Brandy flight (one each from Portugal, France and Spain) First impression is that the colour is very dark, almost like an amaro. Nose: Sherry bomb right off the bat. Dark fruits and even darker chocolate. Palate: Sweet and syrupy mouthfeel. Dark chocolate and salted caramel. Burnt sugar and bourbon-esque char. Finish: Smoked sticky toffee pudding. The best way I can sum this up is that it's like that satisfying cigarette you have after a hot and sweaty one night stand. -

Reviewed October 4, 2025The label does not lie. Very smoky, cloves, caramely? Not my favorite. Have loved other cardenal mendoza, but is probably not my thing. Maybe it's appealing to someone that is more into smoky notes.
