Cascade Alchemy Oregon Gin
Modern Gin
Cascade Alchemy // Oregon, USA
Founded in 2012, this Central Oregon distillery celebrates the region’s cascade plants and produce. The “Oregon Gin” sees a maceration of cucumbers after distillation and that fusion has left the spirit a light straw color.
The juniper used hails from the badlands just east of the distillery in Bend. Not yet widely available; your best bet for grabbing a bottle is by visiting the state of Oregon.

Tasting Notes
"This is a very darkly colored gin for a spirit that has never rested in a barrel. The aromatics have an intense character of crushed cucumber seed and steeped cucumber skin. Some more traditional aromatics become apparent behind the vegetable — mainly fresh juniper and a touch of citrus and cilantro flavors. The palate has a pleasant richness and finishes with a touch of spice. Far away from classical, but a gin for those who would like to try something different or who don’t like the piney character of London dry. Delightful with lime and tonic."
