Cava de Oro Tequila Añejo
Tequila Añejo
Cava de Oro // Jalisco, Mexico
Cava de Oro Tequila Añejo is distilled from 7 to 10 year 100% blue weber agave harvested from both the Los Altos and Tequila Valley regions of Jalisco. It's produced by Maestro Tequilero Gildardo Partida Melendrez at the Tequilera Puerta de Hierro distillery (NOM 1477), where barrels that previously held red wine are used for aging.
Their añejo is double-distilled in traditional pot stills and spends 2 years maturing French oak before being bottled at 38% ABV. This is only distributed in Mexico but is exported to the US and Canada as "Gran Cava de Oro.
