Cava de Oro Tequila Reposado
Tequila Reposado
Cava de Oro // Jalisco, Mexico
To produce Cava de Oro tequila, Maestro Tequilero Gildardo Partida Melendrez uses a blend of 100% blue weber agave grown in both the Los Altos (Highlands) and Tequila Valley regions of Jalisco. Instead of using American oak barrels, the Tequila Puerta de Hierro Distillery (NOM 1477) instead uses French white oak barrels, where this reposado ages for 6 months after double-distillation in traditional pot stills.
Note that this is only distributed throughout Mexico and when exported to the US and Canada, it is labeled as "Gran Cava de Oro.".
