"Nosing the rum delivers notes of caramelized apple, butterscotch, and charred oak. On the palate the caramelized apple note from the aroma takes the lead, followed by dark creamy vanilla, and honey. The charred oak tannins take over with a hint of dried orange peel and old leather manifesting in a tannin rich finish. This rum stands up as a comfortable sipping rum, but also shines in classic rum cocktails like a Rum Old Fashioned. "
