Centennial Limited Edition Canadian Whisky
Canadian
Highwood // Alberta, Canada
Highwood Distillery distilled this whisky using soft prairie winter wheat. It’s then aged 10 Years in charred oak barrels. Winter wheat is planted in the fall where it germinates before the growing process is frozen during the winter.
In the spring it picks up where it left off meaning it’s ready to be harvested to make whisky that much sooner. Note: This is not currently available in the U.S.

Tasting Notes
"This tall sleek bottle offers up a lustrous whisky full of delicate butterscotch and dry grasses. It’s velvety in the mouth with no trace of heat. Creamy vanilla and tantalizing oak lead into just a sprinkle of rye spice. The finish is long with a final blast of honey that also tingles the side of the mouth without being sugary. The blender of this whisky really pulled back the reigns to produce a skilfully balanced and restrained wheat whisky."
