The nose is grain forward with notes of corn and wood smoke playing prominently with a strong scent of alcohol as well.
On the tongue the whiskey is sweet and spicy. There is a brown sugar sweetness that pairs well with the hint of pepper and cinnamon spice. The finish features and alcoholic burn that transitions into a slight woody bitterness. There is a wisp of brine and wood smoke at the very end.
A very good whiskey. It would not be an everyday whiskey for me, but it would hold a special place in my cabinet. It is a whiskey to be shared when someone wants a unique and interesting experience.
