Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon

This was an easy drinker. It would be good on a summer night on the deck. I'll have to asd it to my shelf

Smokey corn and caramel right off the bat. Turned to pepper and spice at the end. Not too shabby.

Day No.4 The nose on this was familiar, in regards to plenty other spirits in this category. I got the vanilla and dusted cinnamon which is always welcomed. But a hint of dried fruit as well. When proceeding to taste it, I received a friendly note of cherry and soft oak. Sadly its presence was brief to allow the grain to emerge with a peppery finish. Subtle oak and leather came and went at times. The cherry did revisit at times, but always seemed to be passing through. This was a fun one. Let's see what day 5 brings.

It is lighter than expected for its oily nature. The nose is of vanilla and butterscotch. The palate is sweet but also quite peppery, as if eating caramel corn dusted with pepper. The finish is abruptly dry and woody.
