Clynelish 14 Year
Single Malt
Clynelish // Highlands, Scotland
An oft overlooked gem in the Diageo "Classic Malt Whiskies" collection, this Highland malt is produced on the northeast coast of Scotland in the town of Brora.
Brora is also the name of a now closed distillery, which, incidentally, was formally the location of the original Clynelish Distillery.

This is a peated whisky, but far less so than the Brora bottlings.

Tasting Notes
"There isn't anything extraordinary about this whisky. It is perfectly ordinary, perfectly pleasant. The aroma is a mix of floral honey and a summer rain shower. Peat smoke is gentle with a hint of sea salt. The taste proceeds toward pear, apple and honeycomb cereal. Yeah yeah yeah!"
