Phenols at 8 ppm.
Nose: light fresh fruit: apple/pear, sweet/sugar aroma, smells somehow like a field
Palate: honey, ginger, wood, oily, beeswax?, slight bitterness
Finish: ginger and light sweetness lingers, there is a light tea note as well
Overall: complex with little of any obvious peat; well worth a try
Add some water to enhance the aromas and pick out more flavors
Probably aged in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. (Clynelish used to be one of the two distilleries, with Brora).
