RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The rye grain is prominent here with a touch of greenness to it along with the oak and barrel spices, but the fruits from the red wine barrels appear on the mild side. There's a little nutty aroma as well as vanilla to be found and the red fruits show up slightly more if you let the glass sit for a few minutes. On the palate the whiskey is medium full and slightly tannic. It's full of rye spice and tangy flavors and a warm feeling in your chest. Would recommend adding just a touch of water to soften the whiskey as well as allow a touch of sweetness to appear. Overall, a pleasant whiskey to drink especially if you prefer your drams on the tangy, spicy side."
