This is the second limited edition release from Código 1530 and Playboy. Like the first release, this is a double barrel aged tequila with the first maturation (18 months) occurring in French white oak cabernet sauvignon wine barrels. Here the secondary maturation uses French cognac casks for 6 months. To commemorate the first issue of Playboy which was released in 1953, there are 1,953 bottles produced, each one individually numbered.
The tequila is packaged in a black crystal bottle and comes in an antique wooden box made in Mexico. Two Riedel tequila tasting glasses accompany the bottle. Available at select retailers and online as of November 2022. (SRP $990).
