Cognac Fanny Fougerat Iris Poivré XO

Fanny Fougerat // Borderies, France
Fanny Fougerat is a fourth generation distiller, but she's the first in her family to bottle under the family name. She's a grower producer and for this bottling 100% of the ugni blanc grapes come from the Borderies region. The wine was distilled twice with a direct-fire alembic still.
Just 15% of the batch was aged in new oak and the rest was placed into neutral oak for 12 years. No additives, sugar or caramel is added. These are single barrel releases with barrel and bottle number listed on the label.
