As is the case with all Leyrat Cognacs, the fruit used is sourced from a single estate at the Domaine de Chez Maillard, and are from the Fins Bois region.
CognacBrandy distilled in a delimited region within France from specific grapes. Must be double-distilled to no higher than 72% abv. Required to be aged in oak for at least 2 years. Also, if labeled as the following, minimum aging is: VS-2 years, VSOP-4 years, Napoléon 6 years, XO-10 years (as of April 2018).

"Incense and allspice are found along with stone fruits and wax. The cognac is sweet-tart on your tongue with more stone fruits and green grapes. Cherry cough drops are revealed on the finish with a hints of oak. This is a serviceable brandy, but the not one you need to go out of your way to find."
