Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Old Fashioned Sour Mash Bourbon
This limited edition expression was produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in homage to Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., one of the brand's original distillers, who in the 1800s used a technique in which the bourbon mash was left to sour over a few days prior to distillation. This modern recreation is made in a similar technique.
It was distilled in 2002 according to Bottled-in-Bond standards and released in limited quantities in 2012. It is bottled at 100 proof. .
