Markets itself as a blend from three legendary whisky producing regions of Scotland but to be honest, I didnt pick up as much as a hint of Speyside. On the other hand, I don't really care much for Speysides so that doesn't really matter. What I did get was a nice mix of Isla and Highland that really surprises. One of my favs.
Enjoyed neat. Light straw in color. Smells of a lit and slowly burning cigar that was rolled with bacon. Very smoky even sitting back from the bar that the glass is sitting on, very pungent. Smokiness is prevalent upon first taste but there's an underlying sweetness and even a mild tart character with a rich mouthfeel. Not for the faint of palate with the amount of smoky peat.
