Compelling Gin
Distilled Gin
Dogfish Head // Delaware, USA
Dogfish Head originally began as a brewpub based in the resort town Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. After moving beer production to a larger space in 2002, the company built a distillery in the old space. Today, this distillery is used to make several spirits, including this Compelling Gin.
Named for the "medley of compelling ingredients" used in production, this gin is made with the distillery's "Analog Vodka" (made from 2-row barley) as its base spirit. This base spirit is then redistilled with 12 botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, black peppercorn, lemon peel, green cardamom, hibiscus, orris root, orange peel, lime peel, kaffir lime leaves and cinnamon. It is bottled at 44% ABV.
