Connemara Original Peated Single Malt

Light, slightly peated whisky with notes of honey with hint of salt.

Very good, very drinkable! Aroma: Peaty and fruity Taste: Slightly and elegantly smoky. Fruity, rounded and sweet. The taste has gentle tones and tasty malty aromas. This lacks the marine peat and salinity you come across in Islay’s whiskies. I was enjoying this very much!!

Better than I was expecting, quite balanced and pretty for something that’s peat-forward, in the vein of Oban and the like. Doesn’t taste overly young despite the no age statement.
