The Ninth. A Symphony in Orange is a gin from Copper & Kings in Kentucky. Crushed whole juniper berries, Seville bitter orange peels, sweet orange & grapefruit peels, coriander, cardamom, grains of paradise all macerate in an apple brandy low wine made from 100% apple wine and orange blossom honey.
Then Seville blood oranges, sweet orange peels, and jasmine are placed in a gin basket while the distillate is vapor-distilled through the botanicals. Lastly, the gin ages briefly in orange curaçao barrels for the final flourish. .

Tasting Notes
"A rainbow of orange--from canned OJ concentrate to chewy orange gumdrops and curaçao-- is backed by violets. The palate is oily and a bit sharp on entry, showing grape spirit, grapefruit, bitter orange pith, gentian, and citrus peels. The first hint of juniper comes towards the back palate and moves into the short finish, along with pine resin, medicinal spearmint, lemongrass and cardamom. "
