Courvoisier VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac

A fine mixing Cognac. I actually use it to fortify my fruit syrups

Second tasting of the evening. 1/5 bottle. Very very very dry finish. But delicately. Lots of wood, wine and tannic notes. Alcohol burn taste and alcohol burning in the mouth. Burns like a radish in mouth. A bit of wood in the finish. The smell of burned wood. The nose burns and tickles.

There’s a subdued nuttiness that comes delicately across the palate, with over-ripe fruits and an herbal quality on the finish. Not overstated, but very complex. May well be the smoothest and most balanced VSOP on the market. Well done!

Smells of dark cherries (reminds me of luxardo cherries), prunes and toffee. Tastes like sweet cherry wine and a little nutty and sweet chocolate.
