For the price, this is great. It’s 125 proof, and you definitely get the heat, and you can taste the youth. Green wood, cinnamon, candied oranges, caramel. It’s a lengthy finish but quite simple.

There’s an initial sweetness, maybe creme brûlée or butterscotch, a little mint, anise, red fruit jam…like strawberry, cherry, oak, dry tannic finish, maybe a little astringency but not so much so that it’s not enjoyable, a little rye spice.

Oak, almond, vanilla, maple, marzipan, cinnamon, apricot, coffee cake, butter, cherry, orange zest, spice cake with vanilla frosting with a thin mint finish. Rich, intense, complex with long finish. Very little alcohol burn. Slick/oily mouthfeel.
