Dalwhinnie 30 Year is one of eight single malt Scotch whiskies in Diageo's 2020 Special Release Collection. Crafted by master blender Dr. Craig Wilson, the theme for this year's collection is "Rare by Nature." Dalwhinnie 30 Year is matured in refill hogsheads.
It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.9% ABV. Availability is limited to 6,978 bottles in the US, Europe, Canada, Australia, South Africa, select Asian markets and airport duty free in late fall 2020. .

Tasting Notes
"Extremely elegant oak and some lovely juicy fruits (nectarine, lemon), accompanied by a feint waxiness and touches of honey. Sweet pastries, a whiff of chalk and even some licorice root. Soft tannins and gentle spices on the palate pave the road for pink grapefruit and lemon zest. Hints of eucalyptus, chalk and an interesting earthiness. There's a lot of life still in this decades old single malt. It's energetic and vibrant yet distinguished. That's hard to pull off. Pretty much perfect."
