BourboNeff
Reviewed October 2, 2021The nose on this starts out quite wonderful, especially when given time to open up. Notes of fresh berries, somethig musty but sweet, and a tad of honey. The palate brings a bit of spice, along with some smokey flavors with that underlying mustiness carrying through. The finish is fairly quick, but the spice lingers pleasantly. Overall, this is a decent craft pour, but not something i would purchase again. -

Reviewed June 13, 2021Typical bourbon nose: sweet caramel with vanilla and oak. More of the same on the palate to begin with then spice takes over big time. Nice mocha coffee notes on the finish. Very good. -

Reviewed April 13, 2021 (edited October 2, 2021)Neat, in a glencairn, rested 5 minutes. Nose is rich and buttery, with hints of brown sugar and spice. Spice is much more assertive on the palate with strong clove and Sichuan peppercorn notes followed by nougat. Despite the flavor notes, this is not overly sweet. Finish is oaky and slightly tannic. -
