Reviewed March 11, 2021I’m not a huge fan of cognac and this one doesn’t punch you in the face with robust grape like most do. It’s softer around the edges, yet refined. Definitely takes on more of the characteristics of the oak barrel. Which makes sense because of the “X.O.” The oak components make it more up my alley as a whiskey aficionado. Definitely worth the price for an X.O. Especially if you intend to mix it into cocktails like I do. But also much fine enough to drink on its own. Albeit, It does taste like a great cognac watered down to 80 proof. It can taste a bit thin as opposed to full bodied. And it is definitely a muted version of what you’re used to. That’s not a bad thing for me though. As I said above the oak comes through and that’s why I’m a fan. There’s no info about this cognac anywhere. So it was a gamble buy. Definitely worth the purchase. A little too easy to drink!54.0 USD per BottleJC Wine & Spirits
