This is a French pomace brandy, a marc, distilled in copper-pot stills from the remnants of the winemaking process. This marc uses pomace from the red wines of the revered Châteauneuf-de-Pape AOC in the Rhône region of France, primarily from syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, and cinsault grapes. The distillate is aged for six years in oak casks before being bottled at 40% ABV.
