Reviewed October 17, 2020Neat. Color is brassy. Nose is agave, caramel, vanilla, oak. Flavor is agave/heavy caramel and butterscotch, flan, vanilla, oak, black pepper, and some baking spices, predominately cinnamon. Finish is moderate and is mostly caramel and cinnamon. Overall pretty typical for an anejo in this price class. Easy to drink, sweet, dessert flavors, significant additives make it taste a bit artificial. I'd personally spend a couple dollars more for Altos Anejo, which doesn't have the additives, but is is less 'smooth' and you won't get the sweet flan flavors of this. Chalk this up to an inexpensive crowd pleaser that's available in big bottles and I don't see a big reason to pay more than this for Total Wine house brands in an anejo.28.0 USD per Bottle
