Just tried my first bottle of "Duke" and have to say I'm not impressed. I feel it's overpriced for the flavor. This has an aftertaste that just isn't good. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

Not a bad bourbon, but definitely nothing special. I bought this with hopes that it would be really good (for the price) and it was average at best. Chalk this one up to a good marketing campaign. Straight forward profile of a young bourbon for this one. Corn, caramel, and rye spice in this one with a quick finish.

Maybe I was in a bad mood for whiskey but this stuff was just bitter to my palate at the time. I'll try it again to confirm if I get the chance.

Now this is a well made Bourbon for all lovers of The Special type of Bourbon that John "The Duke" Wayne enjoyed in his day.... 88 Proof is a Special Proof that is Lower than 90 Proof & Higher than 86 which makes it very special I love the thick glass old timey bottle & the Bourbon that comes in in! Now this is a sipper or on the rocks ONLY Bourbon as mixing it would be a sin!
