E&J XO Brandy

Rich caramel/toffee/brown sugar and vanilla nose with hints of oak, a rich smooth caramel, vanilla, toffee body, notes of brown sugar, smooth and sweet, with a silky smooth mouthfeel, and a silky smooth sweet caramel/vanilla/toffee finish.

A lot of people look down at E&J. Maybe they had a bad experience, maybe they don't like the taste, but glad I'm not them. XO color delivers a medium golden brown color with light rim. Overly sweet scents of caramel reminiscent of a caramel apple store in the mall. After you get past the caramel, notes of banana, allspice, and nutmeg arrive with a peppery finish. Sweet mouthful of vanilla, anise and light heat. The aftertaste lingers. It's a solid budget friendly Brandy.

Swedish Fish

This is only my second ever brandy, and it's ok. The first one was over in Greece and it was much better than this one (only wish I remembered what it was). Very hot which I wasn't expecting either.
