El Dorado 15 Year Rum

There's no question that this is very smooth, but I'm not surprised that it's smooth at this proof with added sugar. It has an almost pancake-like quality to it, wherein the edges are almost artificially rounded. This is a quality I note with many adulterated rums. Honestly, I wish it had more bite and complexity, rather than having the flavors dulled and muted by a veil of sugar. There's definitely something good underneath. I just wish I could taste it up front

Nose: Raisins, vanilla Palate: Plums, chocolate Finish: Liquirice, spicy oak Nice sipping Rum

Compared the 12 with this the 15 ....I found the 12 has MUCH more to offer ....

Pretty bloody good
