Reviewed March 18, 2020Dramfest 2020. Ah El Dorado..in the younger days..my 30's..ok late 30's 5 years ago I was all over their sweet, sweet sugary goodness...until I didn't really like sweet spirits or in fact these days sweet anything.. Now the back story to this one was that all their non sugary dosed stuff was released by independent bottlers and then eventually the owners of El Dorado, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) decided to do it themselves and voila the Albion 2004. It's meant to be a replica of the Albion Distillery which closed in 1968 and to do this they used Wooden Coffey stills which I didn't even realise was a thing or possible but there you go. Lovely dram but wasted on me that late in the stage day 2 Dramfest..
