Compared to similarly-priced Reposado Tequila (Lunazul, Los Altos), this was my least favorite. Has an unpleasant, vegetal taste, quite different from the others. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I certainly won't be buying again. Tasting notes based on drinking straight. I greatly prefer Los Altos for the same price. Or, if I need to save a few bucks, I'd go with Lunazul.
I don’t have too many other tequila experiences to compare with, but this was fantastic. Smooth going down, no salt or lime needed, and fantastic flavor. El jimador has me convinced that tequila is definitely for me! Can’t wait to try the blanco and Anejo.
Very light for a reposado, crisp, taste the alcohol, slightly smoked, hints of floral. Not bad for $18 per fifth. Great for mixers and game days. Mediocre for sipping with an orange garnish.
