Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon

More rich & less spicy than it's cheaper counter part. You taste that it's barrel proof but it's not like drinking rubbing alcohol. Very good. I think it's better than it's cheaper counterpart

Batch B517 - $80 Great nose with a lot coming from it. Touch of sweetness, some oak, rye, nuts, cinnamon, slight orange/cherry. Taste: oak, malt, spices and some burn for sure but a nice finish. Very complex this one and definitely prefer it with splash of water. Great one for the collection!

Very solid. B517 is a bit lower on the EC barrel proof scale, but everything I love about it is there in spades. Rich and full bodied with all the flavors dialed up to 11. A great release.

11/28/17 nose: sugar and spice and everything nice profile: spicy, sweet on the end and quite surprising for 124 proof. medium long finish, kind of maple-y. add a drop of water, much more spicy. black pepper and delicious.
