Celebrated with New Year's eve in Asheville with family. tremendous aged barrel strength bourbon not for the faint of heart. Purchased #5 in Washington DC in March 2015. Purchased #7 from Wines4Today in April 2015. Purchased #8 locally :) in May 2015 -

Reviewed February 21, 2015 (edited October 16, 2017)Nose: Without water it's peppery hot. Mahogany and maple, waxy honey and corn. Floral notes rise from the back. Taste: Very thick and velvety oily. Syrupy, sweet and sour. Warming cinnamon, strong rye and black pepper. Finish: Strong, warming spices, oak and oil. Bitter, dark chocolate. Balance: Burning, yet pleasant straight bourbon whiskey from Kentucky. In great balance, offering sour, spicy and sweet enjoyment all the way!
