Reviewed December 24, 2023Barrel No. - 6802536 // Age - 8 YRs. // Proof - 125.1 NEAT NOSE - Lots and lots of Oak, Cinnamon, and Brown Sugar PALATE - The nose transfers over to the palate, but my O my, is this one oaky! Burried in the oak, you get the brown sugar and cinnamon. The oak is probably the strongest hint on the palate, but its a sweet oak, just very dark and rich. FINISH - Long SUMMARY - ECBP is arguably my favorite bourbon release and this is my first PRIVATE BARRELL offering. I love it and can’t wait to try others! -

Reviewed October 31, 2023 (edited December 19, 2023)On the nose, cinnamon , maple, vanilla and oak. Seems heavy in the cinnamon at first then the other notes start to hit. Super smooth and easy drink, mine was a 124 proof. For being that high of proof I expected a harsh palate. The cinnamon comes strong at first but not overwhelming. Then comes the vanilla, maple, and hints of oak and spice. I was pretty happy with this, I’ve always liked Elijah Craig especially their SiB. If I find another, I will grab it.85.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed October 15, 2023Quintessential ECBP. This bottle is Virginia ABC Barrel 6807297 at 132.1pf and 8yrs. If you like Stagg, you'll like this. Maybe a quarter point lower on the viscosity, but the nose, flavor, chewiness, and finish are all above par. Don't let the 8 yrs disappoint..this on must have been in the higher floors because it came out right when it needed to. And at a $25 premium over the normal ECBP line, I was hesitant to pull the trigger but so glad I did. Sorry I didn't grab the other 3 bottles on the shelf.85.0 USD per Bottle
