Very distinct smoky and spice flavor that showcases the alcohol content. Not nearly as sweet or as profound vanilla profile of other bourbons I've reviewed. Would be nice with a full bodied, earthy cigar

Yes. Maybe a fraction hotter/spicier than the 12. But I like that. It's still refined goodness. Caramel, vanilla, dates, rich oak and a bit of leather. Sweet, rich & savory, well balanced, nice med/long dry-ish finish. For around 30 bucks a bottle - what's not to like? EC Small Batch is super easy to drink.
