Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon

I tried this one neat and on the rocks. There’s definitely an oak taste present but not too overwhelming. I picked up a hint of vanilla and cherries; spices are front and center on this one. Would like to try in a cocktail see how it fairs when mixed. Are the notes still present or do they fade; that kind of thing. I would buy again at this price.

A solid go to. Brad Krauser brought this over in knoxville and it is a solid starter. Very easy, little bite.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. On the nose, the caramel pops immediately followed by the vanilla. There is a fruity note I can’t quite put my finger on as well. The initial taste is that spicy hit, but then almost as fast as it hits, the taste smoothes right out. I got a nice oak “jab” on the back end that was a welcomed experience. This is one I will be keeping in rotation more than some others.
