Very smooth momentary butter on tongue interesting musk on finish with ice

My go-to bottle nowadays. Here in Kentucky, it's dirt cheap at $9 a fifth, but EW is solid. It may not be an blue ribbon drink, but it definitely has smooth wood and smoke notes over a mellow sweet. Its tasty enough to sip, stands up well on the rocks, and really shines in a well-mixed Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Definitely a bargain worth trying.

2.5 - A solid bourbon, especially for the price. Very good nose (classic bourbon notes of caramel, wood, tobacco) but fairly sweet palate, especially with water. Neat, the finish is slightly rough, but very smooth on ice or with water. Mixes very well.
