Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon

BIB. Great value, for sure. Can’t beat the price. Like better than old grand dad’s bonded probably because it isn’t nearly as rye heavy.

This is one of the most underrated bourbons out there, and a spectacular value for around 15$. So what if it has a janky plastic cap. I challenge you to try this in a blind taste test. It can hold its own with many bourbons costing twice as much.

For the price it's hard to knock this in any way, a BiB under $20. The reason I don't rate it highly is that it's instantly forgettable. In the bargain tier bourbon category, I'd give the edge to Ezra Brooks just for its easy going butter-on-toast quality. But Evan Williams white label is the Wonderbread of bourbons. Inoffensive, unremarkable. The proof validates it as a cheap bourbon worthy of keeping on hand for cocktails, as it will cut through the dilution. But otherwise, this is not something to seek out.
